International Center for Training







ICTC established in 1980 according to an agreement signed between Cotton Arbitration & Testing General Organization (CATGO) and both of United Nation Development Program (UNDP) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on 7th June 1978.

* The unique training center in the Middle East, it plays an important role in creating a qualified staff of classers and experts in Egyptian cotton sector and foreign comers from cotton growing and industrial countries.

* The Training programs of ICTC include the theoretical and practical training in the scope of Classification, Marketing, Ginning, Fiber Testing, Moisture determination, Insurance and all other subjects covering cotton Industry, beginning from raw material till end product.

* Training programs are conducted by professors from universities; research centers staff and CATGO’s specialists.

* Training Courses are accomplished through CATGO’s training labs.

* In addition to field trips to Marketing points, Ginneries, Pressing mills, Spinning &Weaving companies and different technical locations belong to CATGO.

* ICTC organizes conferences and forums discussing different cotton issues.









* A group of university professors and heads of boards of directors and heads of sectors and the general managers cotton companies

* The International Cotton Training Centre contact with all specified Companies & Organizations in the cotton industries in Egypt and the world, following are some companies which contact with ICTC through training staff in it to deliver ICTC's scientific message in cotton fields.  


                                             



* Egyptian cotton crop, an important trade and necessary for the manufacture of spinning, weaving and many other industries.

* From here it was necessary to keep interesting with the modernized systems in all stages of cotton production and marketing by developing the system of production, marketing and finance in line with changes and developments, whether local or global.
* Out of the important role played by the human element as the active factor who has the ability to change other factors of production and it's optimal use
C.A.T.G.O represented by I.C.T.C will continue to provide unique staff of scientific and professors from universities, research and business leaders, executives and specialists in order to serve the training process in preparing technical qualified staff in the cotton sector locally and globally.

* The center has accomplished its performance plan for the previous year in training classifiers in C.A.T.G.O, Government Companies, Private Companies, List of Experts, and number of foreigner Scholarships who arrive from Latin America, Asia, Africa, and some special courses for foreign companies.
